Just Another Update

I wanted to update everyone on Sarah Rose. She is completely better now. Thank you for praying for her. Now Molly Grace is sick. She is not as sick as Sarah Rose was though, which is good. We are hoping and praying that Amber Elizabeth doesn't get it.

We have another eight days in Austria and then we head to Italy. It has been really cloudy (which the Austrians say is very unusual for this time of year) so we cannot see the very top of the mountains. But what we do see, is beautiful. I will post pictures soon, I promise.

Thank you again for praying for us. We love you.

Update on Sarah Rose

I want to say "Thank You" for all the prayers for Sarah Rose. God does answers prayers and she is feeling a little better today. She has not thrown up at all. That is good news. She is not eating that much, but I pray that her appetite will pick up tomorrow. She has been sleeping a lot too. Her little body is probably worn out from all the vomiting yesterday. She has not been running fever today which is also a good thing. I will keep you posted through the blog. If you don't see anything new in a few days, then you will know she is better.

Thank you again for all the prayers and we love you!

We could use your prayer...

As a lot of you may know, we are in Austria for a week and a half and then we head to Italy for a week and a half. So far it hasn't been a very pleasant trip. Sarah Rose woke up this morning around 5 throwing up. She has been throwing up all through out the day and sleeping a lot. Normally I wouldn't be that worried, but coming from a country that has malaria, I'm a little concerned. I don't think it is malaria, but we never know without the test. We do have the medicine if it is malaria, but I don't think she would be able to keep it down long enough for it to start working. So, I am asking that you say a prayer for our baby girl that it's not malaria and that she starts feeling better real soon.

Thank you and we love you!

A Few of My Favorite Things

I wanted to list a few of my favorite things that we cannot get here in Malawi. They are in no particular order (except for the first one). I am missing it the most. I am dreaming about it every night. Seriously. So if you know of a way I could get some here, that would be great. Well, here is the list:

1. Dr. Pepper
2. Dove chocolate
3. Days of Our Lives (yes, I am a Days fan)
4. Target
5. My mini van (never thought I would say that)
6. Fritos, Tostitos, any corn chips
7. Tootsie Rolls
8. Fast Internet
9. Going to the grocery store and being able to find everything that I need/want (not really a favorite thing, but something I miss)
10. Survivor

Don’t get me wrong. I have some favorite things here also. They are in no particular order (again, except for the first one):

1. The quality time I have with my family
2. Bananas (much better here)
3. Teaching a variety of nationalities
4. Only having to go to the grocery store once a week (it’s a long day, but I only have to do it once)
5. Ethiopian Food (it’s the best; if you never had it, you need to try it)
6. Indian Food (it’s my second favorite food)
7. Being able to go to bed early and not feeling guilty about not getting everything done
8. Our puppy, Lucy
9. Diddle Daddle (it’s like Fiddle Faddle or Poppy Cock without the peanuts)
10. Having a garden and not having to do a thing to get anything out of it (we have a great gardener, Frank)

I’m sure if I sat long enough, I could think of many more things that are my favorites from America and from here in Malawi.

Seriously though, if anyone has any idea how to get Dr. Pepper here, I would be a very happy person. ☺

We love you,
LeAnne

Urgent Prayer Request

I would like to ask everyone who reads our blog to pray for our safety. For the past few weeks, people have been coming over the wall and taking various items that are left outside. Thankfully, they haven't tried to get into any of the homes. Today during church, five bikes were stolen. Four of them were chained together. The thieves broke the lock with some type of bar and took the bikes. The other bike was chained to a brick post.

Love in Him,
LeAnne (for all 5 of us)
